Spoons, boards and bowls, carved by hand in Galway

Everyday kitchen things made from fallen Irish ash, cherry and sycamore, carved with an axe and a knife and finished with food-safe oil. Each one is a little different.

Spoons are cheaper by two or three, and the kitchen set is the three spoons we use most. Boards can carry a name or a date, burned in by hand.

The wood

We only carve trees that came down in storms or were felled for safety, from farms and parks around Galway. Green wood carves cleanly with hand tools; the pieces then dry slowly for weeks before they're oiled with raw linseed and beeswax. Wash by hand, oil now and then, and they last for decades.
